Meet Paul, our male Hooded Rex Rat. Paul is our surrogate babysitter of adolescent male rats that we are monitoring for adoption. He is also just the kindest soul who absolutely LOVES having his neck and shoulders scratched! Paul is Dave's "heart rat."
Meet Simon, our male Russian Blue Variegated Rat. Simon is an incredibly docile rat. He is so laidback, in fact, that it has resulted in him being bullied by other male rats at times. We don't get it - he's SUCH a sweet rat!
Meet Jax, our male Himalayan Velveteen Dumbo Rat. Jax is so handsome in the uniqueness of his features. From the distinct Himalayan dusting on his nose to the Velveteen coat, at first glance you easily miss what makes Jax... Jax!
Meet Harry, our Black Rat with Berkshire Markings. Harry was thusly named because of mark on his head resembling the lightning-shaped scar on the head of the "Boy who Lived," Harry Potter. Harry has become a dear rat friend of our son and he is showing himself to be a very gentle, sweet rat!
Meet Asher, our male Black Silvermane Berkshire Dumbo Rat. Similarly to Lucifer, Asher has a color that brings to mind ashes and soot. Let's be honest, Soot just doesn't feel like a good name for this guy... so, Asher he is!
Meet Cashew, our Male Russian Blue Agouti Berkshire Velveteen Dumbo Rat. Ahh yes, the much sought-after MRBABVDR. Never heard of that acronym? Come on. It rolls off the tongue! Cashew is a nut. You already knew that, though. Newflash, it's also the name of this handsome male rat in our Rattery!
Meet Lucifer, our male Black Silvermane Variegated Dumbo Rat. One look at this guy and immediately coal and ashes came to mind and so the name stuck! Mind you, he's not a devilish rat, whatsoever. In fact, he's quite an angel and we love having him in our Rattery!
Meet Pete, our male Black Berkshire Dumbo Rat. Pete is such a handsome fellow (I'm a sucker for Black Berkshire) and his Dumbo ears just take the cake! Pete was a name that just came to us. We look forward to watching you grow up, Pete!
Meet Fuzzball, our male Spotted Tabby Berkshire Dumbo Rat. Fuzzball has not only a beautiful coat and markings but also just the softest and silkiest fur ever! He was named by our son who adopted him as his own. He is a wonderful rat and we hope that his amazing demeanor is passed on for generations to come.
Meet Khal, our male Russian Dove Variegated Rex Rat. Khal is a son of Schrew and Cinderella! Khal is laid back and, if the truth be told, is a lazy rat! Khal is still a youngster but we look forward to seeing him grow up and become a daddy in our Rattery.
Meet Jerry Grey Rat, our male Irish Rat. Jerry is the patriarch rat of our family of rats. Jerry is a kind, curious, affectionate, fun-loving cuddler of a friend. He is never happier than when he's crawling around on someone or snuggling in to fall asleep in your lap. Of all of our rat pets, he's the best laprat! While he's a great laprat, he is not a fan of kisses and is the King of the Stiff-Arm when you go in for a kiss! LOL Jerry is now retired from breeding as there are younger male rats to step up. He is and always will be Head Male Rat of our Rattery!
Meet Schrew, our male Black Rat with Berkshire Markings. Schrew got his tail degloved as a baby rat and once healed, he looked just like a little schrew... so, the name stuck! He is an incredibly friendly, cuddly, loving rat. Schrew is a big, ol' tub of goo! OK, he's... well proportioned, let's say! He's a lot of loving, no matter what and a GREAT rat! Schrew is also now retired from our breeding line but is still a very much loved rat in our home!
